Northwest "Under Scrutiny" for Car Loan Practices
An area bank is under scrutiny by the state Attorney General�s office.
Attorney General Josh Shapiro took action against Northwest Bank for alleged aggressive collection practices on car loans. Shapiro�s office got involved after the bank filed multiple collection suits against borrowers, while also allegedly sending letters threatening further legal action.
The bank hasn�t admitted any wrongdoing and customers qualifying for relief will be notified by the bank.
